Our Mission

The mission of the ARA Resident Association is to represent, support, empower, and advocate for ARHA residents.

We are committed to strengthening communication between residents and ARHA, promoting resident involvement, and building stronger, safer, and more connected communities through unity, respect, accountability, and positive change.

 

What We Do

The ARA Resident Association is resident-led and resident-focused. 

We:

  • Listen to residents and advocate for their concerns.

  • Conduct community outreach and property walk-throughs.

  • Help connect residents with the appropriate ARHA departments and staff.

  • Bring resident concerns and recommendations to ARHA leadership.

  • Share important information about housing, maintenance, community resources, employment, and resident opportunities.

  • Encourage residents to participate in decisions affecting their communities.

  • We believe every resident deserves to be heard, respected, informed, and included.

 

Programs & Resources

We connect residents with information and opportunities that can help individuals and families succeed, including:

  • Section 3 Employment & Training Opportunities

  • Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)

  • ROSS Program & Resident Services

  • Employment & Career Resources

  • Community Events & Resident Outreach

Program representatives may also be invited to Association meetings to provide information and answer residents’ questions.
