SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING ON DRAFT OF ARHA’S 2020 ANNUAL AGENCY PLAN

Public hearings will be held on August 28th and August 29th, 2019 for the purpose of obtaining public comments on the Alexandria Redevelopment & Housing Authority’s (ARHA) FY 2020 Annual Agency Plan.

The August 28th public hearing will be held at the Ladrey Hi-Rise, at 300 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. The August 29th meeting will be held at ARHA’s main office located at 401 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. Both meetings will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Written comments may be submitted to ARHA at 401 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 or emailed to dkaffka@arha.us or jdiaz@arha.us through September 13th, 2019.

A hard copy of the Agency Plan Draft can be obtained at 401 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. Copies will also be available starting August 2, 2019 at the following libraries:

DUNCAN BRANCH 2501 Commonwealth Avenue

BEATLEY CENTRAL 5005 Duke Street

During the public hearings, ARHA staff members will be available to answer questions and receive public comments. Written comments received by 5:00 p.m. September 13, 2019, will, as appropriate, be addressed in the final version, and/or taken into account in the development of the next Five-Year Action Plan and/or One-Year Agency Plan. Interested parties will have an additional opportunity to comment on the Plan during the September 24th, 2019 ARHA Board of Commissioners meeting before the Board takes official action on the document.
